Pour all their R&D into technologies that don't even exist yet, while continuing to throw up excuses for why they can't include technologies that do. Like Blu-Ray.

While this quote (http://www.ithinkdiff.com/steve-jobs-at-d8-videos-and-interview-transcript-9712/) doesn't specifically mention bluray, it seems like Apple is choosing not to "ride" Bluray into the future:

I think it's to hide how good OS X is. ;)
To be honest, this is a smart move from Microsoft. If there is one thing I cannot stand about Apple, it is the silly prices they charge. The Apple Tax is stupid.

Parents need to grow up and be just that....parents and not the kid's buddy, etc.

I find it amazing he's never used a computer before doing the Mac ads. But he uses a Mac now, and that's all that counts. :)

I like Word for one thing: typing. I'm a writer (not trying to sound egotistical) and I hate it when an application tries to tell me how do do something TOTALLY WRONG. (And yes, I know I can turn that off.)

Apple has bragged that they had only one version of OS X (compared to the half dozen versions of Windows), so if this is "done right" they could really make good on that promise. There doesn't seem to be that much fundamentally different in the underpinnings of Snow Leopard and Snow Leopard Server. If the server version of Lion doesn't lose anything then it should be fine, as far as what I need, at least.
IMHO, anyone who has considered Apple servers for heavy, or even medium, duty use has always been living dangerously. Between single source hardware and miniscule market share, why take the chance? For my SOHO use, it's been working out just fine.

I know there's no real estate for it, but I wouldn't complain it if had a dedicated Ethernet port.

Have you tried an Eye-Fi memory card? I picked one up recently and it's made offloading photos from the camera SO much easier.

There's a lot of waste in government, military or not. If the military can save money buying COTS solutions, we should all be happy.
And to those who keep trying to throw the discussion off-track, please keep the political cr@p off of here. There are plenty of other places where you can argue the good and bad of military/government/reality TV/etc. Personally, I think we should send the military after the Reality TV producers and contestants, but this isn't the forum for that :D

Apple is hosting a Special Event (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060914090209.shtml) today at Photokina. The invite-only media event was first reported (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/08/20060821202913.shtml) in late August after members of the UK Press received invitations.
Details on the media event have been particularly scarce, but it is believed the event is currently taking place in Colonge, Germany.
There does not appear to be any live coverage for this event on the web. We will provide links or updates as they are received.

Of course not. I was saying that if these were the original parts that were rejected by Apple, then there isn't much wiggle room regarding the fact that they are stolen goods. It is highly unlikely that Apple released these parts for sale. It is much more likely that they were ordered stored or destroyed. Either way, they would now be stolen property.
Now, if they were from another manufacturer (i.e. a knock-off product), or from a non-Apple production run at Foxconn (though there may be some serious issues there, too, as under contract Apple may own all product coming off certain tools), then the only possible criminal issue would be patent infringement.
