Looks like you are one of the beneficiaries of H1 who does not have good education. You can console yourself with the word 'skill' and all that computer jargon The bottomline is H1B visa is for professionals. However, in the past few years, Indian IT bodyshops have sent underskilled computer operators to the US to enhance their operating margins. This will come to end very soon and has to come to an end very soon. I think the process has already begun. Number of H1b visas rejected at Indian bodyshops have gone up. Operating margins at Infosys has shrunk significantly. Infosys and other bodyshops have seen stock price plummet drastically.
Companies such as Congizant have stopped bringing people from India on H1. Rather they are trying to hire people in the US who already have H1B visas. The illegals who have gotton their H1B from shady consultants in NJ, CA and elsewhere. Congizant is doing community service by legalizing illegals. The people who sat on the bench during recession while holding their H1B visas without a paycheck. Sorry with paycheck which needs to be refunded to the employer by personal check. Stop the fraud, please stop the fraud.

This memo does not make any difference that way. Like I said before, this memo just make the interpretation public knowledge.
Why these H-1B cases have been denied in last years and why these denials were not reversed by appeal court? These answers should enlighten you.

I am desi also, but I hate these consulting companies who do that. I worked my a** off to get a full time job, never faked my resume. People in this forum who blame it on the system are as guilty as the desi companies. Come on people, who are you all kidding, can you commit a crime and balme it on society/system for it? there is no difference between online and regular MBA. some universities who have bith , do not even differentiate it in the diploma. for experiance people who add a MBA it has some value if they seek higher position. if you go on to to brick school you could get selected in campus interviews but the position is also lower

Guys
I got back through JFK. Had Valid H1 and AP. Unfortunately (kicking myself) , my EAD was insidethe passport too. IO saw it n said you'll need to use AP and took us to interview room, no questions asked, but took another 25 minutes. Now am Parolled... and I94 says Parolled until .....
Moral of the story : If you have valid H1 stamped , keep the AP tucked away. Can't argue with the ignorant mo fo s at the counter..

I applaud you for starting this effort but the petition needs correction, You are calling Lou Dobbs of lying but all the instances you quote are from Sen Tancredo . You may accuse Lou Dobbs of supporting these lies by letting them stand unchallenged not correcting them.

Employee-Employeer can be in agreement to use "Unauthorized work protection - 245(k) - six months", continue to work and immediately apply MTR.
This is complex area and I don't understand fully. Please don't give red dots for these tough questions. I already reduced giving answers from 5-6 per day to one in 5-6 day.

Logiclife. I know why you are responding to these comments you all are frustrated with such comments. I know it is hard to not respond but please ignore these asinine comments. Please have some of these comments linked to the main page. But believe me "barking dogs seldom bite." Such people will ultimately sap your energy. But, just like how IV is asking people to contribute please also ask them to use their own judgment, they do this at their own risk. There are many people like us who have faith in your group although we know you cannot do miracles. Please have faith and I sincerely request to all members & moderator that once we see these comments let us move this to the some thread called �IV bashing thread� and let the rest of us completely ignore them.
