Yeah i did have a I-94 with my H1 Renewal. But when i got my vis stamped in Canada recently, my original I-94 was take and i was issued a new I-94(white Card) at the border post. And the new was issued up until my passport expiration date.

Actions speak louder than words... Lou Dobbs says Microsoft has waged war against the American middleclass by taking the company to Canada. But that hasn't stopped the company from starting a development center in Canada, nor has the company cared to answer Lou Dobbs in a press release or anything. I have been owning for 7 years now. I bought the first one in 2000 and sold it in 2005 - though most of 2001 and 2002 were in recession, I still made 200% of what I invested. But do not see house as an investment. For me i want a place when I retire. If it appreciates its good.
I have my mortgage with penfed.org. They have the best rate available. They are slow though - do not expect them to close within 30 days.

How do you guys get to track the status online, do you get the receipt and then track it online.
I am from arizona and dont know which place my lawyer filed the I 485 app with EAD and AP. Is it that applications from arizona go to a specific location so that i can go to USCIS website and get some approximate date.

If company is promoting and Apply for EB2, then the PD should be Promotion Date. Because EB2 qualification starts only after promotion. One cannot go back and get old PD and attach it to EB2 after promotion. That is unfair to people, who are already promoted and applied before. Hope this makes sense.

I guess when it comes to GC processing, NOTHING is really "wrong" is it? If you get a chance to work around and beat the long lines, I guess "It's all good". Some people are lucky that they get a chance to get Labor Sub, some ppl marry the GC and some ppl like the rest of us wait in line like "honest citizens".
The REAL question is, just how many of us would have refused a good labour sub, given the present conditions, solely on the basis that "it is unfair to others"? I know i would have taken it. Reason? While I do not want to sound discouraging or pessimistic, this is a very good idea and we must do things like this.
Now, it is just not enough if we make this suggestion and discuss it - we must walk the talk. Will we?
To start with, we can do a lot of stuff, get our co workers, families, friends etc.. involved, print flyers, send emails, post blogs, make videos and post them on youtube, hold local community events and increase awareness.
Our own community is still very ignorant and is indirectly working against us, lok at this post on immigration portal

Hi,
I have the same problem in Rutgers, New Jersey. I spoke to someone at the governor's office. Apparently, this residency definition is a federal law. States like CA had to pass legislation in the state to override the federal law. So if one want this to change, then there is to be an amendment. The schools are following the law.

I have been hoping for EAD at least and I can happly wait for 2-3 years for my GC
if the dates are current I and my fellow non EAD holders at least can file for EAD...
If not current, they should allow to apply for 485 for the ones that they are at least 1 year far away from the current cutoff date if not 2 years (as per current bulletin, they should allow to file 485 up to October 2006 priority date), this way USCIS can borrow some time to pre adjudicate the cases, also easy for them to approve the cases once they are current.
USCIS talked about 2 step process (1) Registration and (2) Adjustment of the case by taking out the concurrent process, this was supposed to come in place last December, but postponed to this June, even we are in July, no news yet on this.........if this process comes up in place, every one can file for final stage as soon as they are clear with 140, not sure whether they will give EAD or not? Any body has updated info on the 2 step process?
